Gelakey College was established in 1974 and is located in the Assam-Nagaland border area. It is the only institution of higher learning in this tea-growing region. Currently, the college runs in the Arts stream and has around 600 students. Honours are offered in Assamese, Political Science, Sociology, History, Education, and Economics. Free education is available to students below the poverty line, with facilities supporting physical and mental development. Our mission is to enlighten and uplift the region through education.
